we decided to make a push for one last _short_ backpacking trip with the boy for this year.  this was just a quick jaunt to afton state park.  our favorite find of this year.  it was cold, the new sleeping bags worked flawlessly.  other than the cold, the weather was first rate.

overheard today.

“i made that pirate ship.” “oh? what did you make it out of?” “playmobile.”

apparently playmobile is a raw material these days.
